Opening of the new Canisius College Nijmegen 22-01-2016.
A traditional school in an ultra-modern building; a school with a future. Pupils feel immediately at home in the New Canisius College. Our assignment was as an interior architect, to bring back the Canisius Atmosphere praised by everyone in the new building. With sophisticated use of color, special designs for railings and wainscoting -with a nod to the old building- is that atmosphere present immediately. And of course the auditorium, which looks like a Grand Café. The classrooms are spacious with extra large tables; an ultramodern digiboard on a dark background with the wall and ceiling canopy for optimal concentration. The library has the longest study table in the Netherlands with beautiful integrated bookcases.
Our client, the vice principal said the following on Facebook: Kees Kool: The school is very pleased with your refined detailing and the students find it very beautiful. You have some very important pieces of the puzzle to fall into place THANKS!
